Our Vision

We understand that the operating environment of today is one of continuous change and improvement, and that we will need to develop different approaches to connect with new markets and channels. Sustainable style and quality design is at our core, and our goal is to maintain a clear customer relevance and desirability, whilst developing an entirely ethical and sustainable product offering by 2024.

Smallworld has an unwavering commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion. We recognise the value of having a wide variety of perspectives within our organisation, and feel that this is essential to the generation of new ideas and development of solutions in an increasingly diverse society.

Smallworld Accessories strives to become a multi-national, multi-channel and multi-category purveyor of ethically produced, recycled accessories. Our clearly defined accessories brands, Small Stuff and Stych hold bold and recognisable qualities and values, and we feel that the end to end market solutions we deliver minimise supply chain complexity for our customers.

corporate responsibility

At Smallworld we take our corporate responsibility very seriously, focussing on the development of a product range that offers both profitability and environmental consideration. We acknowledge the importance of implementing manufacturing and distribution procedures which contribute to the respectful treatment and longevity of our natural environment, whilst maintaining a sustainable and successful business model.

Our Materials

On recognising the lack of sustainable materials available through our original supply chain processes, we have taken steps towards improving our environmental sustainability by beginning a GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified process with our current suppliers and opting to work exclusively with GRS fabric mills. Through sourcing these beautiful fabrics for our fashion accessories we have lowered our global environmental impact, and are committed to our goal of using 100% recycled materials by 2024.

Our casted jewellery products are made from recycled zinc, which is sourced through RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) factories. We also currently use the following recycled materials in our jewellery and accessory manufacturing processes:

  • Recycled Borg

  • Recycled Plastic

  • Recycled Glitter Fabric

  • Recycled Grosgrain

  • Recycled Polyester

Lowering Co2 Emissions

We have committed to the reduction of our CO2 emissions year on year, through the ongoing review of both our internal processes and the external processes of our material and logistics suppliers. Whilst acknowledging that there is still considerable work to be done in this area, our current steps towards lowering our CO2 emissions include;

Planting trees through our partnership with Ecologi, to offset the total carbon footprint of our employees. We have planted 3,658 trees to date and estimate that over the next 12 months, a further 43,000 trees will be planted in our Smallworld forest through this scheme.

We have chosen a freight supplier, Kühne + Nagel, due to their commitment to offset sea freight emissions in 2021 and beyond. Kühne + Nagel also support a number of projects which align with the 17 EU Sustainable Development goals (SDG).
